On Tuesday , Shawn McKay, 23, of Pimicikamak Cree Nation was charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to the homicide of 45-year-old female located deceased in a residence on Monday.

McKay was arrested at the scene when police arrived. He has remained in custody since that time.

The victim and McKay were known to each other.
