The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation and the government are at an impasse and thousands of Saskatchewan teachers are holding another one day strike today.
Teachers from Creighton school are on the picket line again today and Kirsten Fritsch who is the President for the Local Teachers Association says they have seen no movement from the government.
" After Tuesday January the 16th, with a strong show of support across the province, Premier Moe and Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill have not reached out with a renewed mandate to get back to the bargaining table. What we are looking for is to bargain for what really matters to the teachers of our province and that is our classroom size and complexity."
The Creighton teachers are picketing between 10 and 2 today on Creighton Avenue. They welcome anyone who would like to stop by and show their support including parents, grandparents, labour organizations and public educators. The Creighton teachers also want to thank the Prospector Inn for allowing them to use their business as a warm up station.
