The Flin Flon Arts Council is very excited about their first big production of 2024 as they will partner up with the Royal Manitoba Theatre and Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries for the production of Mix Tapes From My Mom.
The Arts Council’s Crystal Kolt is excited to kick off another great year of entertainment. " We are really excited about this one, the Manitoba Theatre Centre is the one truly professional touring theatre group that comes to Flin Flon every February. They are coming in and the piece they will be performing this time is Mix Tapes From My Mom. What this is, is a production interspirced with select songs found on his mom's old mixed tapes as well as a few original songs. Winnipeg theatre veteran Cory Boychuk backed by a band recounts a story of the most difficult and one of the most amazing days of his life. It is a show with songs you know and a story so unbelievable it can only be true. It is a concert and a show.
Music will be featured from the 60’s to the 90’s with theatre and performance. Tickets can be picked up at the Uptown Emporium for adults $30.00 and Youth under 18 $15.00 and online at flinflonartscouncil.ca. There will also be an opportunity to pick up some free tickets by popping by the newly renovated Uptown Emporium on Friday Jan 26th.
