The Flin Flon Creighton Seniors Executive held their AGM at the Seniors room at the Flin Flon Community Hall on Thursday.
The event was well attended and President Katy Anderson who chaired the meeting mentioned after a couple of tough years due to Covid their group has bounced back and are really looking forward to the rest of this year.
" I am very happy after Covid that our seniors is coming back. People were lonely, they were missing a social aspect and our seniors group is great for that. We invited the Creighton seniors to join us because they could no longer afford to keep their room going. So happily, we are one community which is the way I think in my head about everything and I am really happy they joined us. We have yoga, line dancing, crafts and lots of games in the afternoon."
Besides all the weekly activities, the seniors are planning a trip to Churchill between August the 28th and September the 1st. The cost is $12,00.00 per person and is open to senior members and partners first. If space is available other non-member seniors will be considered. The trip must be paid for by the end of January.
