Members of Flin Flon City Council attended the recent Association Of Manitoba Municipalities meetings in Brandon. All 137 municipalities from the province were in attendance and Councillor Mike Slip tells us there were a lot of important topics discussed.

" We met with various ministers and the Premier for the better part of two days. We got to listen to the ministers talk about their plans for Manitoba and the future. There was key note speakers who talked about everything from artificial intelligence to leadership.  It is a very important meeting where we get together  with all the municipalities and talk about each other's issues and success's. We can work together  as municipalities in Manitoba to make it better for everybody."

Slipp went on to say they had the opportunity to pursue some grant opportunities and will also get a chance to meet with the Health Minister to discuss health concerns in the North, and funding to build a new RCMP station.
