Today is recognized as National Day Of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

The Flin Flon Women’s Resource Centre will be recognizing this event and local councillor Hope Liebaert lets us know how we can pay our respects.

" On this day every year we host a candle light vigil to honor the women who were victims of the Montreal massacre. The Women's Resource Centre invite you to our office today to honor the lives lost on December the 6th, 1989. The vigil will be set up between 9am and 5pm and all are welcome to come light a candle in remembrance and to have a moment of silence."
