The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is coming up on shorelines across the country from September 21st to 29th.  Program manager Jill Dwyer says it was started 20 years ago by the Vancouver Aquarium and it is about getting volunteers out during the third week in September to organize a clean up of their local shorelines to remove shoreline litter.

Dwyer adds although there has been in the past, there are no clean ups registered yet for the Flin Flon area but with all the shorelines in our area there are many opportunities to take part.  You can sign up or learn more at their website www.shorelinecleanup.ca.
