All of October, Northland Ford was collecting non perishable food items on behalf of the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank with the We Scare Hunger campaign.
Mike Slipp who spearheaded the event mentions that a lot of people and groups came together and collected a lot of food to make it a successful event.
" We had a lot of help and it was fantastik, again Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach came through. We did extremely well and Alison Dallas Funk from the Food Bank thinks that there is over 8 months of food that was donated, which they were desperately in need of so we couldn't be any happier. We want to thank the schools in Flin Flon and Creighton, the Flin Flon Bombers, PBCN Selects and Creighton Kodiaks and everybody who donated and helped us out."
This was the tenth annual and Northland Ford looks forward to their next community event which will be the Teddy Bear Toss at the Flin Flon Bomber game on December the 1st.
