November is Diabetes Awareness month and there are plenty of resources for people to use through out the North with the Regional Diabetes Programs in Flin Flon, The Pas and Thompson. Nurses also travel to rural communities to assist where needed.

Dailynn Berezowecki, is a registered public  health nurse who tells us what there theme is this year.  " Every November during diabetes month, Diabetes Canada picks a theme and this year it is let's make time. We are asking people to take the time  to learn about the realities of living with diabetes and educating themselves on living with this complex condition. The goal is to raise awareness, increase education and make sure those living with diabetes have access to care and resources."

The Norman Regional health authority has also  started a walking program this month which will take place in the Pas at the Wellness Centre Wednesdays 12 to 12:30 and in Flin Flon on Thursdays between 12 and 12:30.
