A lot of people are ready to walk tomorrow night

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life is being held tomorrow night.  Co-Chair Brenda Russell says teams will be walking for 12 hours to raise funds and awareness about cancer.  She says they have 23 confirmed teams so they are closing in on having 300 participants and they’ll have close to 200 volunteers and about 75 cancer survivors so it’s really an event for the entire community to come out and support.  She says you don’t have to be directly involved to support the event, you can come out and just be part of the spirit and the energy that is portrayed in this 12 hour fight against cancer.

The Relay for Life takes place at the Creighton ball diamond running from 6 tomorrow night to 6 Sunday morning.
