The Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre has hosted a summer day camp the past couple of months called Camp Moochikun which focussed on healthy life styles, cultural awareness and educated related skills.

Jo Anne Pelltier who is the Program Events Co-ordinator tells us the camps were very successful. " This year we had over 25 kids enrolled and it must of been a very busy summer for everybody,  as we had lots of weeks we had lots of kids and some weeks there wern't as many. There was lots of consistency with the ones who did show up and had a great time. Lots of crafts were done, culturally appropriate activitivities, we had some spirit weeks that we did that the kids really enjoyed."

The Friendship Center is looking forward to a busy fall and winter and are planning some big events for this year’s Culture Days starting next month.
