There Is A New Display To Check Out At The Norva Centre

The Norva Centre in Flin Flon has an exciting new display in their gallery which you will be able to view for the rest of August.

Megan Dupas,  the Norva Center’s Manager tells us what it is and a little about the artist who created it.

" The new exhibit is called Pattern Making, Pattern Mending and is by a Winnipeg artist by the name of Alison Davis. It is a bunch of ink drawings of hands and the whole show is about patterns. Alison has a BFA from Concordia and she has always been interested in hands and feet. Hands are so important to us as humans because everything we do in life involves our hands. Hands are really interesting in that way and that is what she likes to explore."

Admission is free and Norva will be open 10 to 5pm for the rest of summer. You will also be able to view animations on video screens that will be set up that Alison made including short films which were screened at festivals and venues world wide. You can also meet Alison who will be in Flin Flon for a work shop next Saturday August the 19th.
