The 32nd annual Cranberry Trout Challenge Derby is just a few days away as it will take place this weekend on Lake Athapap. The Committee’s Wade Roberts says registration is going very well.
" Well registration is going good and it is on fish donkey of course, so you can register on the fish donkey app. I think we had 42 entires the last time I checked and the fishing is good. We have a lot of local people who have registered and we do have some southern people coming up and some new faces we haven't seen before. We encourage more people to come and enter and enjoy themselves."
The fishing starts this Saturday at 8am with lots of other great events taking place including an Elvis and Johny Cash impersonator performing Saturday at 5 at the boat launch. The boat parade will take place Friday night at 6 on Cranberry’s Main street with lots of candy for the kids.
You can enter right til the derby Saturday morning on the fish donkey ap and it is a $200.00 entry per two people boat.
