The big summer time extravaganza, the Blueberry Jam is just a few weeks away and the Director of Marketing, Thomas Duncan says they have some new events to be excited about this year.
" We have some very interesting things, we have the Blueberry Wine Bar which will be opening up in the Rotary Wheel and there is going to be a cabaret inside and wine and some other goodies. It is fully stocked with lots of talent with returning artists including the Usual Suspects who are tremendous players. We will have some new folks who are coming in from different parts of Manitoba that are coming up for their first experience here. One of the other things we have done this year, we have changed where the food tables are going to be. That area has changed a little bit, we have made it a bit more fan friendly, by removing the dance floor right in front of the stage. That was a request from some of the bands who felt a little disconnected from the audience."
The event will kick off August the 11th to the 13th at the Flin Flon campground and they still need volunteers, food vendors and artisans. If you are interested contact flinflonblueberryjam.ca or call 204-687-6247.
