The Adult and Teen Challenge group will once again be hosting the Duck Race at the Wallace avenue bridge on Saturday August the 26th starting at 1. Candy Legore from Teen Challenge tells us where this year’s proceeds will be going.
“All the money that is raised is used for our programs. We run a one year drug and alcohol rehab program and we’re also starting a community outreach office downtown, where we will be running support groups and among other things, referring people to other services. It’s used for everything from day to day needs to opening up new facilities and helping those in need. Every bit counts and every fundraiser that we do, we really thank the public for all their help and support.”
Tickets are 20 dollars each and can be picked up at the Gateway, Baba’s and Northern Rainbows End. There will be three prizes awarded including a Polaris 110 EFI Sportsman Quad valued at $4,644.00 for first place
