Town Of Creighton Is Interested In Your Yard

The Town Of Creighton is once again going to be participating in the Saskatchewan Communities In Bloom Project.

Creighton Rec Director, Lindsay Shirran explains what the project is: " Communities In Bloom is a national charitible Canadian foundation that is committed to fostering civic pride, environmental resposibility and beautification through community participation. The program strides to improve tidiness, appearance and visual appearance of neighborhoods, parks, open spaces and streets through  the use of plants, flowers and trees. The program benefits include increased tourism, increased civic pride, community involvement, participation of all ages, decrease in vandalism and town beautification."

The Town of Creighton participates in the program by planting and maintaining all of the  beautiful flowers in the community at their  parks, greenspaces, and along their  main streets. The  YARD OF THE WEEK, is a popular community program that is awarded weekly to a worthy house that boasts community pride and beautification.

You can nominate your own yard, or someone else’s for the Yard Of The Week by contacting the Creighton Town Office at 306-688-3538. They will announce a winning entry every week til the beginning of September, and all the yards that get nominated will automatically be entered for the Yard Of The Year for a big prize at the end of summer.
