FF Recycling Center Wants To Bring In Community Posting

Deb Odegaard made a presentation on behalf of the Flin Flon Recycling Centre at the City Of Flin Flon Council meeting on Tuesday. Odegaard made a presentation on an opportunity to explore the possibility on bringing community composting to town.

Odegaard talks about the advantages that composting will bring to the area.

" The Compost Councill of Canada has money to help communities figure out what their composting possibilities are. This is basically free consultant work that is available through a federal grant. I figured it was good for Flin Flon to take a look at this , because we are in a community where black dirt is not very available. We have community gardens, parks and we have people who have gardens in their back yard. This also removes organics from the landfill, if you compost them they are not in the landfill which is creating Mething which is a horrible greenhouse gas. It is naturally recycling things in our own community which we can use,"
