National Indigenous People’s Day will take place across the country next Wednesday including a big celebration in Flin Flon. The Flin Flon Friendship Centre has put together another great day of family activities and the Events Co-ordinator Jo-Anne Pelletier says there is going to be some great entertainment.

" So for National Indigenous day, our headliner is Black Rain and we have a lot of other performers coming in including some young students that I am really excited to hear. We will be having a free barbecue and cake afterwards and we will have lots of kids games. We have a door prize this year which is phenominal and you will get a ticket for that as soon as you come in."

Jo- Anne also mentioned that the businesses in the Flin Flon area have been very supportive and generous towards the event which will start at 1pm at Rotary Park on Wednesday. The afternoon will start with an opening prayer and speeches from dignitaries.
