The Witness Blanket has arrived at City Council Chambers in Flin Flon and will be on display til July the 22nd. There was a special ceremony which took place at Pioneer Square on Sunday and the Norva Centre’s Karen Clarke was impressed to finally see it in person.
" It is impressive and it was really intricate to install and we put together a great team to do that yesterday. We are impressed with the detail and the interesting items that are included in the panels of the witness blanket. You can go to the website and find out about each of the images that are included on the blanket, and the back stories and learn a lot about this horrible part of our history that we need to come to terms with."
A big thank you go’s out to all the volunteers and people who put in countless hours to bring the witness blanket to our community including the Norva Centre, Friendship Centre and the City Of Flin Flon.
