Hudbay released it's annual sustainability report yesterday.

They have set a target achieving  net zero total emissions across the entire company by the year 2050.

They are also assessing acquisitions and new projects against corporate  emission targets and are evaluating new technologies as they become commercially available and economically viable.

In Manitoba, the Canadian council for Aboriginal Business designated Silver level standing in it's Progressive Aboriginal Relations program. Hudbay is only one of two  mining companies to achieve a Silver level or higher certification, which recognizes the company's efforts to foster reconciliation and prioritize support for Indigenous businesses.
