The Flin Flon Trout Festival Committee held their annual meeting Tuesday night.  Acting President Dianne Russell reported on changes last year with the committee working as an umbrella group in partnership with Denare Beach Recreation for the fishing derby and Canada Day, Creighton Rec for the midway and Canada Day events, Northland Ford for the parade, the City of Flin Flon for grants and the Flin Flon Arts Council for the Fish Fry.

The committee agreed they had a great festival last year with all events well attended.  Treasurer Elly Spencer reported they will start this year with 10 thousand dollars in their account with Russell adding applications have and are being sent out for a number of grants that are available. Mike Slipp reported Northland Ford will be unable to organize the Canada Day parade like they did last year but will continue to be a sponsor.

Dianne Russell agreed to be Acting President, Laurence Gillespie will continue as Secretary and Elly Spencer as Treasurer.  They are in need of a Vice-President.  The committee will hold a planning meeting on February 21st to decide what events will be held this July long weekend.  Once they have that they will hold a blitz for volunteers to help out with the events.
