It Was Another Successful Journey for Sight.

The Journey for Sight is a snowmobile fundraiser for the Lions Eye Bank of Manitoba and Northwest Ontario.  It started in Flin Flon last Wednesday wrapping up in Brandon Saturday.  Committee Chair Dave Mullin from the Swan River Lions Club said it went pretty well with the weather being the best they’ve had in a while and the snow was good…..

“The biggest thing was it would have been nice to have a few more riders but we’re hoping that will come next year once we kind of get back going here again.  We had a little problem with our snow machines, I’m not really sure why but we had 15 to start but over the course of the week we did have four of them blow a motor so not real good odds when you start with 15 and you lost four of them but besides that everything kind of went pretty decent.  A lot of support again from everywhere we stopped so it was good.”

Mullin added they had a little over 20 thousand dollars turned in Saturday but riders still have pledges to turn in and they also have the money from their snowmobile raffle to come in.
