The Flin Flon Arts Council is featuring Marco Castillo with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra Saturday January 21st. Castillo originally from Rio Di Janeiro and now from Winnipeg explains what the show will offer….
“The music has this particularity of taking you to whatever place you want, if not physically. Just close your eyes and you feel like you are in Rio Di Janeiro or on a beautiful tropical beach. So that’s the idea of this show. We put together a lot of music, pretty much Brazilian music and there’s a couple of originals of my own and with wonderful arrangements from other people. I think it is going to be super nice and I’m super excited to play this show. It’s always a blast to play with the WJO, it’s a constellation of wonderful talented musicians.”
The show takes place Saturday January 21st at 7:30 in the Flin Flon Community Hall. Tickets are available at the Uptown Emporium or online at www.flinflonartscouncil.ca.
