The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce has unveiled their new geocache coin.  It was designed by Craig and Abigail Cowper from Denare Beach.  Chamber President Kory Eastman says the front is emblazoned with the theme 80 years of community and celebrates two of our most common citizens a miner and a hockey player and it has a starting point for a geocache with a flag on the left hand side leading to a treasure find on the right hand side.  He says the second side will help world geocache hunters understand where Flin Flon is by providing a location on the familiar map of Canada and advertising the Flin Flon Chamber website where they can investigate our community and get more information.

Mayor George Fontaine says it was nice to see a family designing the coin that promotes our community.

The coin will be available for purchase for ten dollars in time for Flinty’s birthday party on August 18th with 750 coins to be minted.
