The Alpine Convenience Store in Denare Beach is sponsoring a tagged fish event to promote fishing in Amisk Lake. The store’s Deb Arsenault says there’s not cost to enter and anyone holding a valid Saskatchewan fishing licence or treaty card can get out there and try their luck at angling. She says there are ten tagged Walleye fish placed all over the lake and they’re in all the usual spots that we all like to fish in so you can do a catch and release or catch and keep, bring the tag into the store and receive the cash or prizes.
There are seven prizes of 100 dollars, one prize of 150 dollars, a fishing rod and a dip net to be given away. The event runs until September 30th.
