A time capsule will be buried next month to mark Flin Flon’s 80th anniversary. Committee member Colleen Arnold says they want everyone to consider placing something in the capsule that is relevant to today reflecting the community or personal interests. She says they want to capture all that defines life in Flin Flon today so anything of value to yourself within the last 18 months or so. She adds some items for example could be coins, newspapers, toys, CDs, local art works, scrapbooks, board games or photos.
The time capsule is a 3 feet by 3 feet concrete capsule to be buried and opened on the city’s 100th anniversary. Forms with suggestions must be submitted by July 15th and can be found at City Hall, Women’s Resource Center, Aqua Center, Friendship Center or online at www.flinflononline.com.
