A successful Trout Festival weekend left a lot of people with prizes

A whole list of prizes was presented in the 48 hour fishing derby.  The top three in adult events were first prize for top trout Sheldon Wiebe at 43 inches receiving one thousand dollars, second for top walleye Joby Nomeland receiving 500 dollars and third for top pike Glen Burkett 39.5 inches receiving 250 dollars.


The top three in children’s events included top trout 11 year old Mike Ward 22.25 inches, top walleye 6 year old Jordan Donaghy 26.5 inches and top pike 9 year old Blaine Wilson 31 inches.


The winners of the Spirit of the Trout Festival Award were Tristan Barteski and Melissa Ziehlke each receiving 500 dollars.


The Photo Scavenger Hunt was won by the team of Annette Last, Tami White, Tanya Walker and Michelle Peters winning 200 dollars.


First place in the commercial category in the Canada Day parade went to Northern Rainbow's End, while non-commercial first place went to The Flin Flon Ski Club.
