The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency must decide whether a federal environmental assessment is required for the proposed Lalor Concentrator Project near Snow Lake.  To assist in making its decision the Agency is seeking comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment.

They report Hudbay proposes to construct and operate a new zinc and copper/lead ore concentrator at the existing Lalor Mine site located about 200 kilometers east of Flin Flon in the mining district of Snow Lake.  The Concentrator would have a design capacity of 45 hundred tonnes of ore per day.

Written comments must be submitted by July 11th.
