More People are Eligible for a COVID Booster Shot.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin reports we are looking at a stable picture in Manitoba related to COVID-19.  He says there are indications towards a downward trend including in hospitalizations and ICU admissions adding vaccination is still the best way to protect ourselves announcing changes in the timing for a booster dose so effective today anyone aged 50 and over can be eligible for their second booster dose.  In keeping with their prior eligibility for First Nations, Inuit and Metis people aged 30 and older will be eligible for a second booster dose and adults who are moderately or severely immune compromised are eligible for their second booster as well.

Roussin also noted they have shortened the interlude between doses to four months from the present six months.
