New Case Numbers are Down in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 1042 new cases of COVID-19 for the week of April 24th to 30th down from 1436 the previous week.  The total reported cases in the province now stands at 141,973.  Hospital admissions during the week were 185 down three from the previous week of which 12 were admissions to ICU.  Of the new cases 584 were in Winnipeg with the lowest number in the Northern region at 83 down from 111 the previous week.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 766 new cases for the week of April 24th to 30th down from 829 the previous week.  Far North East reported the lowest number in the province at five down from 31 the previous week.  As of May 4th 390 people were in hospital down 19 with 20 in ICU unchanged from the previous week.  83.4 percent of the variants of concern cases were the Omicron BA.2 sub lineage up from the previous week.
