RCMP Calls For Service in Northern Manitoba were up 14 Percent in March from March Last Year.

RCMP report during March 2022 over March 2021 Manitoba North District reported increases in all categories except for drug enforcement.  Overall common police act ivies increased from 875 to 944 with the largest increase in wellbeing checks up from 117 to 147. Assistance to the general public was up from 85 to 99 and persons reported missing increased from 151 to 172.

             

Crimes against persons increased from 881 to 992 including assaults up from 646 to 770 while sexual offences decreased from 63 to 38.  There was an increase in crimes against property from 859 to 1249 with arsons increasing from 4 to 10, theft over 5 thousand dollars increased from 14 to 31 while possession of stolen goods decreased from 12 to 4.  And drug enforcement decreased from 66 to 53 with possession decreasing from 15 to 9.
