Davide Novo of The Pas has been appointed to the apprenticeship and certification board of Manitoba an organization that’s works to create the apprenticeship certification systems in the province.

Novo tells us what he hopes to accomplish with this new role. He explains part of it involves increasing apprenticeships in rural and northern areas.  He says he’s hoping being on the board from the north he’ll obviously give some insight into the challenges we face here as employers and employees.  He notes some of the challenges we face locally are getting kids involved into trades and to understand that post-secondary isn’t just going to university there’s a lot of different trades that can pay really well.

 Novo added  he hopes to provide a good voice for Northern Manitoba under this new role.
