Existing Public Health Orders Have Been Extended in Manitoba.

Manitoba Health Minister Audrey Gordon has announced public health orders currently in place will continue for another week.  She says the government along with public health continues to assess the spread and impact of the Omicron variant however they’re seeing early signs of stabilization and positive indications that COVID -9 is stabilizing in our province.  She notes the rate of hospitalizations appears to be plateauing however the rate of ICU occupancy does not appear that way at this time. She adds extending public health orders by one week allows them time to confirm the trend in this COVID-19 data and the impact on our health care system.

Current orders will be extended until 12:01 am on Tuesday February 8th with an update on future orders to be provided next week.  Manitoba remains at the Orange Restricted level under the Pandemic Response System.
