Active Cases are Down in Our Manitoba Region While Isolation Changes Come to Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 582 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 30.6 percent.  Of the new cases 300 are in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions including 81 in Northern health where 2746 cases are active including 76 in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.  Of the total 117,971 confirmed cases 28,951 are active, 87,482 people have recovered and 711 are in hospital with 51 in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan health reports 1273 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 1265.  Of the total 113,993 confirmed cases 12,386 are active, 100,622 people have recovered and 328 are in hospital with 35 in intensive care.  Far Northeast Two reports two new cases with 80 cases reported as active.  Starting tomorrow close contacts of people who test positive won’t have to self-isolate and people who test positive will be required to self-isolate for five days.
