All Northerners Will Benefit From a Community Conversation Next Week.

Community Futures North Central Development is hosting a community conversation on climate change and its links to income security and community resiliency.

A business economic officer with the organization Michelle Pruder explains the session will be two and half hours that focuses on how communities can adapt to climate change while still maintaining or building economic security.

She adds these topics are top of mind for board members and partner communities noting climate change is something that’s on everyone’s mind.  She says we’ve been seeing things around the world, in Canada and here in the north too, we’re all affected by climate change whether it’s forest fires, hotter summers and winter roads are an ongoing concern as how much time do communities have for getting all of their supplies in with the shortening that seems to be happening with the winter roads season.

The community conversation which is hosted in partnership with The Green Resilience Project will be held Wednesday January 26th from 6 to 8:30 p.m, and is open to all northerners.
