Manitoba public health reported 717 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 34.5 percent.  Of the new cases 375 were in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions including 88 in Northern health where 2133 cases are active with 35 of them in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district. Of the total 110,593 confirmed cases in the province 39,961 are active, 69,169 people have recovered and 601 people are in hospital with 47 in intensive care. Over the past week there were 335 new hospitalizations an increase of 40 percent over the previous week.

Saskatchewan health reported 1347 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 1208.  Of the total 101,537 confirmed cases 11,642 are active, 88,934 people have recovered and 167 are in hospital.  Far Northeast Two reports one new case with 21 reported to be active in the Creighton, Flin Flon Saskatchewan, Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Sandy Bay sub district.
