Manitoba Lieutenant Governor Janice Filmon in her annual Christmas message stated the holiday spirit remains strong in our provincial community…..

“Our province is always a great place to be but the wonders of the holiday season create an especially memorable time here in Manitoba. The environment is so beautiful and inviting, sparkling landscapes, cheerful lights aglow on homes and store fronts and of course our renowned community spirit on full display as we unite in celebration.  There’s no doubt the festive season brings out the best in our people and our province.  It’s a time that reminds us of the many reasons we have to be grateful and appreciative of who we are and where we live and we are all fortunate indeed to be part of such a vibrant caring community.”

Filmon concludes as the Queen’s representative in Manitoba she wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday as we celebrate this joyful season and welcome the new year.
