At their meeting last night Flin Flon City Council received a letter from Ron Dodds.  He stated he is resigning from his position as Past Chairman of the Flin Flon Station Museum effective Friday December 31^st.  He noted for the past 39 years he has enjoyed working within his various positions as a Board Member at the Museum adding a couple of his favorite jobs were Flinty’s Birthday and putting up the annual Christmas light display.         Mayor Cal Huntley noted we all echo our thanks to Ron for the 39 years adding he’s gone above and beyond on many occasions and was utterly committed to the Museum.

Council approved 40 percent as their share of the cost of hiring a Regional Tourism Coordinator to work with the Flin Flon Denare Beach Creighton Economic Development Commission with the goal of coordinating all efforts in the region in developing tourism.  They also will apply to the Municipal Service Delivery Improvement Program to determine available cost efficiency for the city bus service to ensure it is providing the best service possible for the cost.
