At their meeting Tuesday night Flin Flon City Council received the Fire Chiefs report for September. On the 4th they were called to a home on Second Avenue where burning toast set off a smoke alarm. On the 7th they assisted EMS with a call. On the 9th they assisted the Creighton Fire Department at a structure fire. On the 11th they quickly extinguished a small grass fire behind McIsaac School and on the 25th they responded to alarms at the Legion apartments on Green Street where all occupants had been evacuated and they found an alarm that had malfunctioned.
During the month they had boat and rescue training on Ross Lake, new recruit training and development, motor vehicle accident training and a demo on battery operated Jaws of Life.
