Charges Have Been Laid Following a Vehicle Stop.

At approximately 5:20 last Thursday afternoon an RCMP officer on patrol observed a man driving in Flin Flon. The officer recognized driver and was aware that he currently had an outstanding warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court. 

The officer conducted a traffic stop and the man was placed under arrest.

During the arrest he was searched and found to be in possession of a knife, a quantity of crack cocaine and Canadian currency. 

Subsequently the vehicle was searched and officers located and seized a large quantity of Canadian currency, approximately 21 grams of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. 

A 57 year old man from Schist Lake has been charged with several offences including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Failing to Comply. He was also issued several fines under the Highway Traffic Act. He was remanded into custody. 

Flin Flon RCMP continue to investigate.
