Culture Days Teaches You About the Forest This Weekend.

As part of Culture Days Lyn Brown is presenting Forest to Fork Sunday.  She says it’s about experiencing the beauty of life from taste and that’s kind of a model she’s had over the past years around particularly the Boreal forest and in Flin Flon we have the rock and the water as well and we have this amazingly beautiful geography that we live in but there’s pieces in that geography that we’re not always aware of and that’s the actual ingredients that we can utilize from the Boreal forest so Forest to Fork is an opportunity for participants to taste things like Evening Primrose seeds and they’ll also be making a particular ingredient from the forest, they’ll be taking Fir needles and sea salt and they’ll be creating their own forest seasoning and so it’s a hands on workshop, it’s a taste workshop and it’s a great workshop about food and beauty.

The presentation takes place Sunday from 1 to 2 at the Flin Flon Community Hall.  Because space is limited you’re asked to reserve a spot on the Arts Council website www.flinflonartscouncil.ca.
