UCNs Automotive Technician Program Has Received a Boost.

Early this summer Alexander’s Auto Ranch in Flin Flon donated seven modern engines to the University College of the North Automotive Technician Program.  The seven donated GM 2.2 litre Ecotec Engines are valued at over 18 hundred dollars and will help create a hands on learning environment for the students.

UCN Automotive Technician Instructor Riley Wlasichuk says with this donation students get to experience every aspect of hands on engine training adding in the past either the engines available were not modern or multiple students needed to share an engine and may not have gotten the full experience.

Part owner of Alexander’s Auto Ranch Rod Alexander noted it’s going to a good cause to help people get a trade adding if you don’t have a trade it’s hard to get a job.

This is the second donation this year to the program.  In early June Great North GM in The Pas donated two vehicles for hands on training.
