New Manitoba Cases Are Up in Some Parts of the North While Saskatchewan Reported Cases Top 71 Thousand.

Manitoba public health reported 130 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 3.4 percent.  Of the new cases 43 were in Southern health and 33 in Northern health with lower numbers in other regions. There are 238 active cases in the Northern region with 90 of them in the Pukatawagan Mathias Colomb Cree Nation district where provincial health officials are working with the community and 70 in the Norway House district.  Of the total 61,385 reported cases in the province 927 are active, 59,241 people have recovered and 90 are in hospital with 14 in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 577 new cases this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 461.  Of the 71,034 reported cases 4692 are active, 65,601 people have recovered and 343 are in hospital.  Far North East Two reports seven new cases bringing the number of active cases in the zone to 65.
