A part of their Infusion Entrepreneurship Conference Wednesday night Community Futures Greenstone hosted a virtual presentation by Doug Griffiths the author of 13 Ways to Kill Your Community. He noted ways to kill a community and ways to avoid letting that happen. He advised don’t drive away businesses that will compete with what you have as competition helps make us stronger and better and you get price, quality, selection and service adding co-operatively compete by working together to build the community. Regarding youth he said get them involved adding the key is not to keep them here but give them reasons to come back with the experience they have gained elsewhere. He also explained people need to shop locally but local businesses have to give people a reason to want to shop locally and that includes setting up your business so it attracts customers. In the community don’t be afraid to try something new and learn not from other peoples mistakes but from their successes and don’t keep waiting for someone else to do it you have the responsibility to make your community better. Griffiths agreed to meet virtually with our Regional Development Committee to discuss the Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach region,
