You Can Get More Than One Vaccine.

Medical Lead with the Vaccination Implementation Task Force Dr. Joss Reimer says Manitoba is now allowing the COVID-19 vaccine to be given at the same time as other vaccines.  She explains this is what they already do with many other vaccines. She says if you think back to childhood immunizations or your child’s immunization schedule it’s likely that they got more than one needle in the same visit so this will make it easier for people who want to get one or more vaccines noting for example if you get a seasonal flu shot and you need a COVID vaccine you’ll be able to do that in the same visit.

Previously individuals had to wait 14 or 28 days in between doses of different vaccines depending on which was received first. Reimer noted this change is consistent with updated guidance from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.
