Plans are developing for Human Books at the Flin Flon Public Library as part of Culture Days. Administrator Lisa Slugoski says they have three guests lined up to come in starting Thursday of next week. She notes on Thursday, October 7th Ranjit Soman will be speaking about his life as a Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy and being a test pilot for jet fighter planes with over two thousand hours of flying, on Thursday October 14th they’ve got Bill Hanson who will be presenting remotely talking about growing up in Flin Flon and navigating life with six sisters and then their final Human Book is on Thursday, October 21st with Leslie Beck Part Two and she will be continuing her talk from last year and speaking about being a female RCMP officer in the north.
The Human Books will be at the Library at 7 o’clock on each of the nights. You are asked to pre-register to attend by calling the Library at 1-833-960-3519. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required and masks must be worn at the event.
