Reported Cases in Manitoba Have Hit 60 Thousand as Numbers Remain High in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 60 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to two percent.  Of the new cases 24 were in Southern health and 16 in Winnipeg with single digits in other regions including five in Northern health where 74 cases are active.  The Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district reports eight active cases.  Of the total 60 thousand reported cases in the province 499 are active, 58,294 people have recovered and 66 are in hospital with 15 in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 527 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 478. Of the new cases 10 are in Far North East Two bringing active cases there to 106. Of the total 64,402 reported cases 4734 are active, 59,005 people have recovered and 276 are in hospital.

             

Saskatchewan has now reached 80 percent of all eligible residents receiving their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 71 percent receiving two doses
