Saskatchewan is Supporting Northern Airports and Roads.

Highways Minister Fred Bradshaw has announced support for northern transportation infrastructure operated by the Ministry of Highways.  He reported spending of around 67.8 million dollars on projects through the end of the year with the largest project 14 million dollars for upgrades at the Fond du Lac Airport.  Among other projects are funding for the Pelican Narrows airport for fencing and permanent lighting installation, for the Cumberland House airport apron and taxiway grading and base strengthening, Highway 106 spot improvements between the junction of Highway 135 and Creighton and Highway 135 gravel road upgrade for approximately 14 kilometers south of Pelican Narrows.

             

The Government of Saskatchewan is improving more than 1350 kilometers of provincial highways this year.
