Vaccine Numbers Continue to Go Up In Manitoba.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced 213 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Thursday. He reported no new deaths.  Of the 34 new cases reported for today 24 individuals were not fully vaccinated.  16 new cases were reported in the Winnipeg region with single digits in other regions including five in Northern health of which two were not fully vaccinated.  Of the total 58,681 reported cases 503 are active, 56,989 people have recovered and 65 are in hospital with 18 in intensive care.

             

Medical Lead with the Vaccine Implementation Task Force Dr. Joss Reimer reported people without a Manitoba Health Card and are fully vaccinated can now apply for a vaccine card and the QR code at the same number you call for appointments 1-844-626-8222.

             

A total of just over 1.9 million doses of vaccine have been administered in Manitoba.  A second draw for cash and scholarships is coming up for those who have had their second dose on or before September 6th.
