As College and University Students Resume Classes the Province will Be Re-opening its In-person Student Aid Services.

Manitoba Advance Education Minister Wayne Ewasko explains programs include Manitoba Student Aid which provides interest free student loans, the Manitoba Bursary Program which provides up front bursaries to Indigenous students and low income students and Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative which leverages institutional fundraising by providing matching provincial dollars for student awards.  He says they really need to highlight the fact that Manitoba Student Aid is here to help students who in some cases wouldn’t be going to post secondary education.  He notes over 254 million dollars was dispersed last year to over 17 thousand students.

Manitoba Student Aid provides in person services starting September 7th as well as online and phone options, enhanced digital options for students and an enhanced website.  Information can be found online at www.edu.gov.mb.ca/msa.
